Job Description:
We seek a seasoned Independent Animation Consultant with a proven mastery of 2D animation techniques. This dynamic role demands exceptional creativity as you'll translate narratives into captivating animations that seamlessly enhance our projects across various media formats. You'll collaborate closely with directors, editors, and the broader production team to ensure a cohesive visual language while pushing creative boundaries.
Your expertise will be key in conceptualizing, designing, and executing stylized 2D animation sequences that align with project briefs. As a skilled storyteller, you'll bring your mastery of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling techniques to ensure our animations become a highlight of our projects.
You'll also manage project timelines independently, delivering top-tier animated assets within deadlines, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement by staying current with emerging 2D animation trends and software advancements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement animation sequences to enhance the narrative and visual appeal of projects.
- Collaborate with directors and editors to ensure seamless integration of animations.
- Deliver innovative animation solutions that meet project visions and exceed client expectations.
- Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality animated content.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years in professional animation, showcasing a diverse portfolio brimming with exceptional 2D character animation, motion graphics, and VFX work.
- Equipment & Software: Maintain a personal workstation equipped with up-to-date 2D animation software (e.g., After Effects, Harmony, Moho) and any necessary plugins.
- Contracting & Flexibility: Ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor, demonstrating adaptability to feedback and a dedication to iterative improvement.
- Quality & Awards: A proven track record of creating polished, award-worthy 2D animated content.
- Background Check: Willingness to successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
- Collaboration: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to flourish in a collaborative environment.
- Monthly Meetings: Ability to attend monthly check-in meetings at our Hollywood HQ.
